Cook's Country magazine on October 16, 2010 by Meggie from Santa Maria, CA

  • Pros: Understandable, Up to Date & Interesting
  • Cons: Can't think of any negatives

I love Cook's Country magazine and Cook's Illustrated magazine. Both are well written and interesting, however, Cook's Country has recipes that an average person could make at home, without fancy ingredients. There is something of interest in every edition. I keep my issues of both magazines for years and actually refer to them often. A wonderful gift.

My Favorite Cooking Magazine on July 01, 2010 by VA Girl from Virginia

  • Pros: No ads, great recipes and pics, easy to follow instructions
  • Cons: Only publish 6 issues/year

I love Cook's Country magazine! Even my husband reads every issue! I use tons of the recipes and love to pull out my back issues when looking for inspiration. I love the pictures and the variety of meals. The articles explain the recipe creation process and talk about good/bad substitutions. Their product reviews are very helpful and I trust the info they provide. This is the Consumer Report of cooking magazines!
