Large colorful photos help to give vision and inspiration for the international flair that is encompassed in this magazine. Elle Decor provides all of the resources you need to find the accessories, art, furniture, and bedding you see page after page. Each issue includes "Daniel's Dish", "Designers Dozen", "The Truth in Decorating", "What's Hot" and "Elle Decor Goes to...". Features include story after story of high-profile designers who have renewed and restored houses and apartments as well as how they enjoy their homes.

I always read Elle Decor features; they are well written and even if I do not particularly like the design, I am interested in the motivation and inspiration for the work.

Beautiful but Out of Reach on June 30, 2008

While it features some beautiful design ideas and products, this magazine caters to a high-end audience and is very ad-heavy. If you have $60 to spend on a beach towel or are adept at finding low-price substitutions, this magazine can be inspirational. Unfortunately I'm neither rich nor seasoned in knock-off design, so each reading usually just leaves me feeling incredulous that people will spend so much on things that can be had for much cheaper. I'm well-educated and middle class, but I guess this magazine is intended for people of nobler origins. My subscription was a gift and I won't be resubscribing.
