Taste of Home on June 18, 2009
by Dina from Canada
  • Pros: Lots of Great Recipes

Taste Of Home has Every Day Style of Cooking! And very good food. My mother-in-law bought me a gift subscription one year and I have been getting it ever since. I look forward to every issue.

Disappointed in Taste of Home on June 14, 2009
by Tina from USA

I feel the same way Jan USA does about the Taste of Home magazine. I thought it was just me, but I see other people feel the same way. I have been ordering this magazine since their first issue. I had always liked the country feel of the magazine. I am very disappointed that they changed the whole format of the issues. I will not be renewing.

VERY Disappointed on May 31, 2009
by Jan from USA

I used to look forward to browsing each new issue of Taste of Home, but with the new format, I toss it aside until later and after skimming it, I throw it in the garbage. It used to have REAL down-home recipes that my family loved, but now the recipes are like ones in all the other magazines, and I haven't made a single one from these new issues. I realize that some advertising is a necessity in this day and age, but why would they change everything else? I will not waste my money on a subscription renewal.

Do Not Like New Format on May 28, 2009
by Speedy from USA

I have enjoyed Taste of Home magazine for a number of years and have sent it as Christmas gifts to about five friends. However, I do NOT like the new format. I hate the way the cut-out recipe section is being presented--I liked the old format. Also, it has become more fru-fru, like every other magazine.

Disappointed Fan on May 23, 2009
by Still Cookin' in KY. from Monticello, KY.
  • Pros: still good source of recipesand reasonably priced mag.
  • Cons: disappointed in the changes in format.

We have become accustomed to getting all our information in paragraph sized chunks.I am disappointed that one of my favorite magazines--Taste Of Home--has succumbed to the instant gratification craze that has swallowed our society as a whole.I am considering canceling my subscription. I can go to the public library and peruse their copy and then check out more recipe books.
