• Pros: Felt somewhat excited when TOH was delivered.
• Cons: Felt dread when I read the issue.

I've had a great romance for 15 years with Taste of Home magazine, but sadly that romance has ended because of the legal drug pusher Reader's Digest. They are notorious for drug ads in their magazine! I'm sorry but I don't have a need to be stressed out reading about health problems and what medicine helps, when I'm reading a food magazine. I don't mind the food ads {and recipes}. Their pictures are actually more vibrant {looks like real food} and colorful {the plating of the food} than the TOH food photos. I remember when TOH use to take vibrant and colorful photo's with their food. The food displayed now for their photo's have a shiny unappealing glaze that has a look like plastic and served 99% of the time on a white plate, with a white background{no creativity & boring}. We're not stupid subscribers!

Great recipes! There is a wide variety of choices to choose from. It is interesting and it is easy to follow the instructions given.

• Cons: Recipes have too many ingredients

I used to subscribe to Taste Of Home magazine a few years ago and loved the folksy style and recipes. The new Taste of Home is more modern with recipes that have lots of ingredients! I don't mind the advertising so much, because it is just a necessity these days. I will not renew my subscription when it ends because of the recipe changes.
