Traditional Home magazine on November 24, 2010 by designer want-to-be from Illinois

I love, love, love Traditional Home magazine. Always can't wait til the next one arrives. One thing that I think would serve more readers well would be to have at least one article showing a house and/or room makeover done in an average home. All of the articles are for homes that are million dollar price and up. While I can use examples and ideas and tone it down to the more average/usual homeowner, I'd really like to see something done with one of the designers. The people that subscribe to the magazine are probably your upper to average homeowners, not necessarily the millionaire type. They have the designers to their houses anyway, while we want to try to duplicate. Still, a great read.

Beautiful Magazine on August 30, 2008 by HouseGirl from Lancaster PA

  • Pros: lots of great photos and ideas
  • Cons: mainly high-end (high-cost) products featured

This is one of my FAVORITE home magazines. It does, however, lack a bit of the 'reality' for the average homeowner, as most people aren't gutting homes and starting over - or spending 10's of 1000's of dollars for a designer, architect, etc....to build or remodel a single room - or entire house. That being said, I reference back issues often for color palettes, design and decor ideas, lush decorating, etc.. Highly recommended - you don't have to spend a fortune, just because most of the homes featured have done so! This IS the 'posh' mag. for those of us living in a traditional home. :)

Traditional Homes December issue on November 27, 2007 by jjl from Columbia, S.C>

Thank you so much for such a wonderful December issue. TH is the only magazine filled with wonderful Christmas decorations. I am so disgusted with House Beautiful. It used to be one of my favorites but for 2 years now has nothing for Christmas in the December issue. Shame on them but thank you Traditional Homes. Please keep it up. I love this magazine and will continue my subscription. The homes were filled with beautiful ideas for Christmas.
