I bought this for my mother who's in her late 70's, She loved it for in-depth information on benefits of different asanas as well as tips for home practice and excellent articles. Then I bought it for my friend who was borrowing it from the library. She loves it, too. I finally got it for myself and see why they love it. The articles are excellent and the info on yoga practice is great.

This mag isn't intimidating if you're not very experienced with yoga, nor will you be bored with it if you are experienced. Nice articles about nutrition, health, & well-being. Great instructional photos showing poses and how to get into them. Very nice mag indeed :)

Yoga Journal magazine is a great resource for the beginner as well as those who have been doing yoga for years. There are sections on refining yoga poses for those who have been at it for many years, sequencing yoga positions for specific situations, development of at home practice as well as informative articles covering diet, meditation and even a review section on books, music,and DVD's. The magazine DOES feature specific yoga challenges such as pregnancy yoga, yoga over 50 and yoga for those with particular medical challenges offering variations on the poses to accommodate those situations. I highly recommend this magazine!
