Great Cake Decorating Ideas
American Cake Decorating magazine has great articles, good coverage of cake events and I love the how-to's.
Review by Cakediva on 3 Jan 2008review stating ACD - a must- read for decorators
I simply love this magazine. I've been decorating cakes for only a few years, but everytime I get my ACD magazine, I learn something new. I like to see what the professionals are doing and because the directions are so precise, I find I can make the cakes that are shown. You don't have to be a pro to enjoy this magazine, but if you read it enough you might become one!

I just received my first issue of ACD today, and my only thought was why did I wait so long to subscribe? Excellent how-tos, expansive information on sugarcraft events nationwide, and I also like the fact that it lists suppliers, books, and videos---one stop indugence for my passion for cake decorating.
Review by Newbie C. on 3 Apr 2009review stating Great Techniques
I am a novice cake decorator, and I find ACD very helpful in terms of techniques. The step-by-step instructions are clearly written and little suggestions are included that help me work out each step. I would love to someday make a cake as beautiful as Rebecca Sutterby, but in the meantime, I am steadily learining new ways to make ribbons, flowers, and sugar people. It is also really nice to get new ideas and see what is going on in the cake world with different cake shows. It did take me a long time to get my first issue, but it was defintely worth the wait!
Review by Goldie on 1 Mar 2014review stating American Cake Decorating subscription
I must need cake decorating for idiots because the stuff in this book was worthless to me. The first sample of this magazine i received had a outline picture of the beach and sunset and I was able to trace, airbrush, and use the instructions on how to color the horizon, but since that first sample free book there has not been one thing i have been able to use. Cake decorating is so time consuming I wish there was a magazine that just showed easier designs, layouts, and outlines.
