Best art read in the US
Review by Josephine on 7 Jun 2013 review stating Best art read in the US
Art in America is the best balance of revered articulation of the art world today. Every issue offers indepth analysis of new, current and historically significant artists and shows. Art in America is amazing for pulling forward the inobvious artists that also deserve recognition. With the major features they also offer fun, insightful smaller bits that pull you into the happenings in the US and abroad. AMAZING art read!!

Favorite Art Magazine
Review by Herzer on 3 Apr 2010 review stating Favorite Art Magazine
Art in America magazine is great if you are living in the Midwest and trying to stay abreast of exhibitions happening on the East Coast. The gallery ads are informative of current work, and the exhibition reviews in the back are complete and written by a variety of critics. The articles are usually theory-laden but are something I consider very important to read.

Terrible
Review by Happy D. on 3 May 2012 review stating Terrible
Strongly advise against. I enjoy being aware of the art sceen in the US. However as a happy and upbeat person I need to fill my time with positive things. The art was well done but 1/4-1/3 of the magazine had disturbing nude art and it was throughout the magazine so you can't just rip out the back. I was extremely dissappointed and found some months had nothing worth looking at and therefore tossing it without reading it.
