The magazine is beautiful, so buy from the store. Once they get your phone number they will start calling you everyday, sometimes 3 times a day to renew even before you receive your 2nd issue. It is insane!
I do the happy dance when Mountain Living magazine shows up in the mail! During and after the long process of designing, building, and decorating my own western-style home, the great photography (including the ads) always has some unique sparks for my creative process. If you have any familiarity with the log/timber home magazine market, you know it is mostly cookie cutter design, kitschy decor, and the same old identical ads over and over again.
Mountain Living magazine is no where near worth the cost. It is mostly advertisements and very, very little content. I will definitely not renew and wish I could get my money back.
