I am so pleased with Old House Journal. It is fascinating to read of intrepid restores respecting the history of a home and caring for that home with tender care. We need to treasure beautiful old homes and it is satisfying to learn of people?s efforts!

This magazine is one of the best I've found for period restoration of most anything to do with old homes. I've also learned a lot about my home's quirks (why is that cabinet there?) and how to work with the original doorknobs, etc. It's also been helpful when deciding color schemes and contains great resources.

I was looking for a magazine that focused more on preservation not just renovation. This does both! I was so impressed! They take the time to show the before and after pictures and the steps in between! So enjoyable!
