I have been a subscriber to The Nation for decades, and so was my late husband. It is a wonderful publication that is not afraid to cover topics that are unpopular in mainstream media. I had let my subscription lapse because of financial difficulties brought about by outrageous utility bills.

I purchase this for my son who is incarcerated in N.C. and he loves and reads it from cover to cover. Hopefully the next time I buy this for him, he will be home. It certainly arms him with facts when he and his fellow inmates try (ha, ha) to have political discussions.

I have been getting the Nation for years now. I find it to be very well-researched and well written. The writers are intelligent and well-informed. A lot of how you react to this magazine will be due to your political opinions. If you are looking for one of the best progressive magazines out there, you cannot go wrong with The Nation.
Review by Thom on 12 Oct 2009review stating Excellent Progressive and Liberal magazine
The Nation is the oldest publication of its kind, dealing with societal, political and artistic subjects. Each issue has always been, for me, a real eye-opener and is almost always 'ahead of its time'. Each time my subscription lapses, I think I need to renew...wait a few months...and do so. A must for those who look for the 'real' liberalism or for those who dislike liberals so much they have to find out what's really driving them!
