Hi! I’m Kara Gause, a blogger for magazines.com and a mama of twin toddlers. I’m typically writing, changing diapers and filling sippy cups, but always try to find a rare quiet moment to sneak away with one of my favorite magazines. One of those is Lucky.
There’s just nothing like Lucky magazine. It’s like having a personal shopper at your disposal. And while we all love Proenza Schouler (especially when it comes to Target!) we can’t all just go out and buy it. Lucky sort of meets the shopper wherever she may be, whether that’s Forever 21, H&M, J. Crew or Marc Jacobs.
The same goes for beauty products. Lucky’s always featuring some new concoction or beauty secret that even I can stock up on. Tons of them under $25.
One of my favorite things the magazine does is take whatever’s current, or trending and then sort of translates or “decodes” it for even the stay-at-home working mom like me.

Good Magazine about shopping

Cons:
Lacks real substance
This magazine is almost entirely about shopping and beauty. It provides nice reviews for many new beauty products. It also has nice fashion sections. It's not full of advertisements like other magazines. Some months are better than others. The only negative is that it doesn't contain any real articles of substance.
