More about Maxim: An International publication, Maxim was originally published in the UK in 1995. Two years later in April of 1997, the American version of Maxim was launched stateside. Today there are over 15 different version published worldwide. While somewhat controversial to the general public, Maxim has a strong following of readers who can't get enough of the candid reporting and photography. Each issue includes "The Funnies", a "How To" section and the latest "Top Gear" that will soon infiltrate every male's life. You'll also find articles about sports, music, television and the latest gadgets. Photography regularly features female celebrities. Due to content, Maxim is suggested for mature audience only.

  • Pros: Great articles and topics
  • Cons: A little ad heavy

The magazine is great with good feature articles, models, and topics. However, it seems like a short read mostly because of the large volume of ads in each issue. Although it's not too much of a takeaway for the magazine, it does get annoying.
