- Pros: good variety of crafts
I may just be tired of seeing the same old thing in these craft magazines, but I wish they would have more new products and instructions on using them- not the big Cricuit but the smalller items that are always popping up but we don't know what to do with them. It's still a great magazine for scrappers and card makers but I probably won't renew.

- Pros: always something new
- Cons: only get 6 a year
I have accidentally let my Scrapbooks Etc. magazine subscription run out and now I can't wait to get it going again. I think I'm going through withdraws without it.

- Pros: consistent basics of scrapbooking how to do and trends
- Cons: a lot of ideas- focus is clearly scrapbooking
I consider Scrapbooks Etc. magazine my 'go to magazine' for generating affordable ideas for my scrapbook, a consistent starting place and an inspiring source that is always good to have on hand. I look at their ideas and then incorporate them into the stash of supplies that I have. It is important to keep in mind there is a wealth of hands on paper-crafting ideas that can either launch you into creativity or bog you down. It has been my experience that digital tutorials are limited and I wish there were more because I like to do a combination these approaches in my photo books.

- Pros: love the detailed explanations, how layouts are designed and color schemes
- Cons: never enough, would like the magazine to be thicker
I have been scrapping for 8-10 years. I have become obsessed. The only magazine that quenches my thirst for ideas is Scrapbooks, etc. It does more than get my scrapping mojo going; I devour every word, image, and advice in this magazine.

- Pros: Great photos, some good techniques
- Cons: Predictable layouts, rarely advanced techniques or designs
Scrapbooks Etc. is a good magazine for beginner scrapbookers or those who don't care about doing anything other than gluing photos straight from the Wal-mart photo lab on pretty papers. My main complaint is that the layouts selected are by and large pretty much all the same in design. It's quite obvious what the editors consider good design and it's all they include and it's frankly boring. Almost every layout includes one or very few typically shaped photos on bright papers, a title, journal block and a couple mild embellishments stuck in predictable places.
