More than Writing Tips on April 04, 2009

I was expecting The Writer to be a magazine with writing tips, mainly for fiction writers. I was pleasantly surprised to find articles on writing nonfiction, plus many articles on the various aspects of freelancing, plus software reviews and reviews of books on freelancing and publishing. At less than $3 per issue, this magazine packs a lot of bang for the buck. The May 2009 issue alone makes the yearly subscription rate a bargain. I highly recommend this magazine.

Best Magazine for Writers' Ever! on April 20, 2007

To those of you who want all the latest writing techniques, information about current writers and their latest publications, I have been reading this publication since I was 12 years old. It is the most inspirational and informational writing magazine I have ever found! The changes when it was purchased by Kalmbach Publishers have been extremely innovative and only enhanced this wonderful publication!

The Writer is an excellent resource for aspiring and working writers alike. The articles are well conceived, well written and informative for every genre or style of writing. I highly recommend The Writer for all who love to write.
