I bought a subscription to Vegetarian Times for my daughter when she became a vegetarian and it quickly became her main resource for meal-planning. The recipes are usually easy and contain readily available ingredients. I have tried quite a few myself and have been pleased with the results.

I look forward to receivng my magazine. The articles are so informative & I love the ads. I have found so many natural & great products in this magazine. I wish I would see more vegetable recipes using eggplant, squash, or cauliflower. I'd love to send in my recipe for eggplant stuffed shells or my oven fried cauliflower. The butternut squash is also a great veggie this time of the year. Thanks for letting me sound off!!!

Vegetarian Times is published by Active Interest Media, which was formed in October of 2003 by Wind Point Partners and Efrem Zimbalist III. Other magazines that are published by Active Interest Media are American Cowboy and Black Belt Magazine. The main focus of the magazine is on recipes and food, but there are also very interesting and informative articles about alternative health issues, fitness, nutrition, supplements and entertaining suggestions. All of the recipes that are provided in Vegetarian Times include nutritional information that lists the amount of calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates, cholesterol, sodium and fiber per serving. Other magazines with a health conscious focus include Cooking Light, Eating Well and Natural Health.
